HISTORY

Hotel Brokers International (“HBI”) was founded in 1959 by a small group of hotel/motel real estate specialists who had the vision to see a need for communication and cooperation in meeting the needs of hotel and motel purchasers and sellers on a nationwide basis. Scoggin Blue LLC joined HBI in 1959, and has been proud to be a part of this highly successful organization since its earliest days. HBI has grown from this small group to more than forty member firms with over one hundred twenty hotel real estate professional Brokers. HBI as a group handled over 60% of all hotel/motel sales in the USA last year. Scoggin Blue LLC is consistently one of the top producers in HBI and is pleased to be a contributor to this outstanding sales achievement.

HBI LISTING SERVICE

The HBI Listing Service allows us to input information on hotels and motels we have for sale, and to retrieve information on hotels and motels offered for sale throughout the United States by HBI member firms. This valuable service greatly expands our marketing capabilities linking Scoggin Blue LLC with one hundred twenty hotel sales professionals in over 40 offices throughout the United States.

PUBLICATIONS

HBI and its members are well known in the hospitality industry. HBI publishes a number of hotel real estate statistics and commentaries in numerous trade magazines, and its member’s author many feature articles, and are often quoted in newspapers and trade publications.

Scoggin Blue LLC maintains a website at www.scogginblue.com along with HBI at www.hotelbrokersinternational.com with listings on hotels and motels for sale by Scoggin Blue LLC and through the HBI network. Further, Scoggin Blue LLC listings are placed on the International Hotel Brokers Network website www.internationalhotelbrokers.com. Unless otherwise requested by a Seller, Scoggin Blue LLC makes available all of their listed properties for sale on these websites.

HOTEL INVESTOR’S MARKETPLACE

Four times a year at locations around the U.S.A. (usually Dallas/Atlanta, San Francisco/Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.) HBI and Hotel Motel Management Magazine host a Hotel Investor’s Marketplace, which showcases 20-30 prime hotel/motel properties for sale by HBI members. Various industry speakers and sponsors are involved and is well attended by owners, investors, and other active prospective purchasers.
